Food for Thought: Recognition for Amity Papa and Mama’s Canteen

In 2014, the “Papa and Mama’s Canteen” project was jointly launched by Amity Foundation and Alibaba Foundation. Over the past decade the project has provided nutritious meals to the elderly who live with disabilities and/or are living alone in rural and remote areas in China.

From humble beginnings, “Papa and Mama’s Canteen” has now expanded operations to over 200 service centers based across 28 provinces, touching the lives of countless people. The Canteen’s efforts were recently covered by China Daily in their Policy Review column, giving our project staff warm affirmation to carry on the good work:
