Living Water Campaign update: Nepal
The Amity Foundation’s Living Water Campaign is providing clean and safe drinking water for the remote villages of Chisapani, Deruali and Narayankhola in Lalbandi Municipality, Nepal. In partnership with Transform Nepal, the Living Water Campaign (known locally as the Living Water Project) has provided a sustainable solution for these people by funding the construction of new pipelines, water tanks and taps, improving ease of access to clean drinking water for hundreds of families.
Here, we see villagers from the Deruali village talking about the improvements in livelihood brought about by the project.
In order to sustain these positive changes, we have also established Community Health Education groups to educated the communities and raise awareness of water sanitation, health and hygiene.
