Shigatse Earthquake-All kinds of relief supplies have been prepared for the Shigatse earthquake victims
After the earthquake, the Amity Foundation immediately launched a disaster response, including contacting local partners, rushing to the scene to conduct survey on disaster assessments and needs, and allocating disaster relief funds to purchase urgently needed supplies such as emergency food and heating supplies. At the same time, crowdfunding projects were launched on multiple online fundraising platforms, including Alibaba Foundation, Alipay Charity, Tencent Charity Foundation, ByteDance Charity Organization, and Bilibili Charity Platform, to gather resources to support the disaster area.
As of 24:00 on January 9, 2025, the Amity Foundation had raised a total of ¥12,752,378.08 through various channels (including pledged but not yet received funds), with ¥7,225,076.08 raised through online public fundraising channels (amounts are based on platform data as of the day and final amounts will be subject to audit reports). Currently, the foundation has delivered 500 boxes of instant noodles, 500 boxes of compressed biscuits, 2,500 boxes of canned food, 25 tons of tea bricks, 550 prefabricated houses, 704 quilts, 500 mattresses, 776 cotton clothes, 1,590 lighting devices, 90 stoves, 400 hot water bottles, 500 sets of hats, scarves, and gloves, 150 boxes of sanitary pads for women, and childcare items such as diapers and stationery to the disaster areas of Cuoguo Township, Quluo Township, and Nixia Township in Dingri County, Shigatse City. The foundation also provided logistical support and funding for multiple civilian rescue teams heading to the disaster area. The total expenditure on delivered and in-transit supplies amounted to ¥4,921,719 (of which ¥4,357,680 has been disbursed, with ¥564,039 pending payment).
While conducting emergency relief, the Amity Foundation is also focusing on the needs of transitional resettlement and post-disaster reconstruction, preparing for the quick recovery of the disaster area. More relief responses are underway.
Actions Taken Today
· January 8: 25 tons of tea bricks were purchased and delivered to Lazi County and Dingri County in the evenings of January 9 and the morning of January 10, items would be distributed to various towns.

· January 9: Tea bricks were unloaded in the evening.
· January 10: The Amity Foundation, in collaboration with local partners, purchased 60 boxes of sanitary pads, 250 packs of diapers, 100 pairs of socks, 100 pairs of thick cotton shoes, and 2,000 sets of stainless steel tableware. These items would be to transport to Dingri County, Shigatse. On the same day, another batch of maternal and child supplies (including 100 boxes of sanitary pads and 100 boxes of diapers) were purchased and shipped to Dingri County.

· January 10: The Amity Foundation, in collaboration with the Tencent Foundation, purchased 50 portable oxygen generators to provide logistical support for social forces heading to the disaster area.
