Look! Cambodia has Three More Amity Green Campuses!
On 4th November, the kick-off ceremony of Green Campus developed by Amity Foundation in partnership with HiTHIUM Hero Energy Equity took place in the Sentreae area of Phnom Karvanh city, Khet Pursat, Cambodia. The ceremony was attended by over 160 people including invited guests and representatives from Amity Foundation, Caring Enterprise Hithium Energy Storage, local Community Organizations, and Sentrae Education Department, as well as Project teachers and students. This project has donated all kinds of basic facilities including solar energy panels, energy-storage batteries and fans to all the schools of Sentreae District 3, improving the hardware of the campuses and facilitating learning, and at the same time providing supporting courses in science classes relating to clean energy to help teachers and students learn more about the development of, and knowledge about, sustainable development.
At the ceremony, the project manager of Amity Foundation expressed that the Green Campus used photovoltaic facilities as carrier, enabling a steady supply of electricity to ensure the students’ daily learning requirements are met, providing clean and sustainable energy solutions to the beneficiary schools. The project carried with it the deep affection and fraternity from Chinese Caring Enterprises, strong physical evidence of Sino-Cambodian friendship.
HiTHIUM Hero Energy Equity expressed honour to have partnered with Amity Foundation and the powers of local community organizations to be able to assist with the village’s education through technology, and looks forward to creating through this project a better environment for education for the children at the beneficiary schools, to help more children to realize their dreams.
The Education Department representatives, teachers and students expressed their enthusiastic welcome and sincere gratitude to Amity Foundation and Caring Enterprises.
Since 2019, Amity Foundation has continuously spearheaded Cambodian educational development projects. Green Campus is an important component of such projects. During the installation of this project, Amity Foundation has discovered that currently, many local schools are still operating under the hardship of insufficient electricity supply.
2024 is “China-Cambodia People-to-People Exchange Year”. Amity Foundation takes advantage of this occasion to continue partnering with Caring Enterprises to continue the Green Campus projects, so that more local schools can receive steady and reliable electricity supply through the installation of solar panels, promoting the spirit of friendly education and cultural exchange in celebration of China-Cambodia People-to-People Exchange Year with practical action.
