UEM delegation visited Amity

On September 24, 2024, a special delegation of United Evangelical Mission (UEM) formed by bishops, pastors and other church members from a number of countries, visited Amity’s Headquarters in Nanjing. The delegation were warmly welcomed by Amity Board Chair Qiu Zhonghui, General Secretary Ling Chunxiang, Associate General Secretary She Hongyu, Assistant General Secretary Zheng Wei and colleagues from different departments of Amity.

After touring the office, the delegation had a constructive meeting for exchanging their views. Reverend Kou Weiwei of Amity outlined Amity’s development and operations since establishment, especially Amity’s diakonia work and religion-based services. UEM delegation members expressed their appreciation to Amity for arranging the journey despite all the difficulties. They were impressed by Amity’s development over the years and moved by all the services and commitment Amity made to the people in need in China and other countries.

Although many of the delegation members visited Amity for the first time, Amity Board Chair Mr. Qiu considered them as our old friends because UEM has been one of Amity’s strong supporters for years. General Secretary Ms. Ling expressed her sincere appreciation towards UEM’s companionship, especially for their support when Amity developed the organization. Touched by the sharing, the delegation members appreciated Amity’s effort, achievements and innovative spirit. They believe religious belief inspires the philanthropy work that serves the people in need.
